During our last vacation we had purchased a timeshare only after being repeatedly assured by the selling agent that we had 30 days to cancel the policy, and that we would only forfeit the deposit if we cancelled. We had buyers remorse within days, but were then staying on a remote beach and were literally completely off the grid, so cancellation at that time was not an option. Besides, we had been told that we had 30 days to cancel. However, when we returned home and tried to cancel our contract, we were told that there was no 30 day cancellation period and that there was no way to get out of the contract.
We found MTS on a timeshare users group website, and after an introductory call, they reviewed our contract and the email thread we had with the timeshare company during our cancellation attempt. They told us that based on their experience, we had a good chance to get out of the contract. They would only collect payment if they were successful, so we signed up.
MTS was very thorough and professional. They promptly responded to our inquiries and kept us up to date as the situation evolved. I am very happy to say that our contract was cancelled last month.
While I never want to be in this situation again, I would gladly recommend MTS to anyone that finds themselves at the wrong end of a timeshare contract, trying to act on false promises made during the sale period."
