My compaint is the same as others. Scammed by Krystal & Concord Servicing Corp. I will not pay Concord money that is not due to anyone because no one has proof that I owe this money. My contract with Krystal specifically states that I do not owe a maintenance fee unless we stay. It is bad enough that we were scammed thousands of dollars but now we are not even allowed to stay because of this money owed to Concord for some fictious fee. I am not alone in my distate with how we are being treated. I would love to go back to Cancun, I love it there but I will not spend another penny in Mexico until this gets cleared up. I use to go at least twice a year and spend a minimum of 3 thousand each trip. I'm sure the Mexican economy does not feel the absence of that money but imagine if I am just the tip of that financial iceburg. I will fight this in any and every form I can but it's a shame that the people of mexico have to suffer. I find that the people are warm and friendly and welcome us there. I know they need the money because their economy is worse than ours.

NH Krystal timeshare is a complete scam! Were guaranteed easy rental through a rental agency and in years have never seen one single rental of our unit. We have zero intention of ever using the timeshare and are not looking for initial investment back but just want out of a contract that is forcing us to pay these maintenance fees for something we will never use!

NOW WE GOT A COLLECTION LETTER FROM YOU SAYING THAT WE OWE $1000 SOMEWHAT DOLLARS AND WE HAVE NEVER PAID UNLESS USED AND WE HAVE NOT USED IT IN YEARS! IT WAS A RESALE WHEN WE GOT IT AND I NEED TO CLEAR THIS UP BECAUSE IT IS ON MY CREDIT REPORT AND I AM NOT PAYING FOR SOMETHING THAT I HAVE NEVER HAD TO BEFORE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I CAN DO OR A NUMBER I CAN CALL AT THE RESORT TO FIND OUT. THANK YOU.

Hi I have a time share from Krystal that appeared to be very good and paying them for 2 years now, however I never had the chance to use it and when I requested something from them they're attitudes were totally different then when they had me there 2 years ago wanting me to join. I have been recently contacted by a collection agency which spoke to me unethically and threatened to garnish my wages

We were scammed big time by Krystal. The pack of lies was very well presented. There does not seem to be any accountabilty from the chain that own the hotel. They act as if those theives do not exist. Will not respond to complaints. The goverment does not want to hear either. We can boycott Mexico. Maybe with time someone will take action.

We purchased our timeshare at the Krsytal cancun in 1995. they told us many things about making money on renting but just wanted to stay there. Enjoyed out stays the first 4 years than skipped a few as we got more kids. They said if we did not use our 2 room timeshare we could split the rooms to make 3 rooms. They also said we only had to pay the maintenance fee when we stayed. This of course was a lie but we upgraded in march 2009 to a 3 room. Our existing bill was $0.00 at that time and after we paid the $4500 extension upgrade they immediately billed us for back years on maintenance fee's. Never trust these people as they constantly try to squeeze money form you. The place is worth the stay but the Timeshare promises are very deceptive.

To all those scam victims out there:
We were there a few months ago and realized how scammed we were when we got back home. Of course when I called they refused to send me my money back. So I was going to send a dispute to Profeco (Mexico's BBB). Then a friend of mine said "you really think the Mexican government is going to send you your money back?" That's when I really started contemplating what to do. Firstly, CHANGE YOUR credit card no.
If you have already sold any of your weeks, it may be harder to recoup your money, since you have "initiated the contract" so to speak. But I believe anything is possible.
Call your bank and ask how is best to dispute the charge on your credit card for the "weeks" you purchased. For me, there was an online form which I filled out and also called them. They responded with a negative response, saying that I needed more proof that I tried to cancel, like emails, letters etc. I told the bank that we verbally asked to cancel a few days after the transaction while we were still there, so there is NO written proof of cancellation. I then got hold of someone close to the dispute dept. and explained what was going on. You need to explain that this is not an item bought and you wanting to return it, it is a HUGE scam that is going on, and so many people are suffering because of it. Print out this page of complaints as part of your proof of what a scam it is. Look for loopholes in the contact. As far as I am concerned, there are a few. We bought 9 weeks. What we didn't know was that each week bought was us merely paying for the maintenance fees for that week which would then give us the right to sell that week. So they refer to it as "your weeks that you have bought." Meanwhile they know very well that so far you have NOTHING. Because if you used the weeks yourself, that would cost you an additional $75 per night ontop of what you had already paid them. Most normal people would understand it to be that upon presentation of your weekly coupon at the front desk, that you get to stay without paying anything since you supposedly bought your weeks already. This is why they concentrate so hard on you selling your weeks for a profit. This way they don't have to explain to you that you merely own the right to sell the week, but not to stay there for a week...that would cost you an additional $75 per night x 7 = $525 extra per week ontop of what you've already paid them. It is important to explain this to your bank. Your bank has lawyers that will back you up.
The loopholes I found in the Contract: Clause 13, they refer to the $75 per night as "lodging fees". We thought they were some minor fees like maintenance fees or something that wouldn't amount to much. In no way were we to know that that meant the price of your accomodation to stay there, since we had already paid for that (or so we thought).
In another letter they make you initial, it states the $75.00 fee at the bottom, but refers to it as "extra days". When we read that we figured we didn't need to worry about extra days, since we already had 9 weeks.
Also, note that on the KRYSTAL ADVENTURE PLUS booklet they give you, on the inside of the last page under RULES in the 3rd paragraph they talk about "preferential room rate".
So you now have "lodging fees", "extra days", and "preferential room rate" which are all supposed to mean the same thing. It is obvious they want you to be confused and not understand what's really going on.
I hope this will help in some way. I have tried to leave an email address, in the past, but this site clears out messages that leave a contact like that.

In December 2011 bought a similar package from Kyrstal. I have not contacted them yet but think I would like to close my contract and get a refund. Have you tried this and do you know how I might be able to do this? frustrated and scammed Luz Cervantes

We bought this timeshare a few years ago but only used it once because the flight to Mexico cost a lot and we can do better with an all-inclusive deal. It's paid for but we still have the fees. Please give us some Free advice on how to get rid of it. Thanks.

Hi, I have a Termination Agreement with Hotelera Chicome S.A ( Krystal resort Cancun) that was signed within the Five days after I purchased their membership on August 24, 2011. HC agreed to reimburse my money ($4500 USD) in a term no longer than 15 working days. However, 30 days passed and no amount has been credited toward my credit card. What can I do?
Salvatore
We believe that we were subjected to consumer fraud and poor business practices of Krystal. Many verbal offers could not be found in the contract, although we were told that the contract contains them. We called the hotel and then sent a request for rescission. We sent the request to the hotel. We have been in back and forth discussions with Krystal since that time. They are refusing to refund the down payment, because the cancellation period is only 5 days.
Yance
Another timeshare victim....Once the representatives knew that I refused to put any down payment on the card attached to my checking account, they insisted that I use my American Express card (knowing that it does not have a limit). They had them on the telephone for authorization before I even had an opportunity to review their contract for signature. We fully understand now what the cliché phrase of "never mix business with pleasure" means. The sales team provides a forward flow of tequila shots, mixed drinks and a bottle of champagne to celebrate all new members.

I was offered a sale of my Mexican timeshare ownership, I have been asked for 6% payment for sales commission up front which I wired to an account in Mexican bank then I was asked for a larger payment for transfer fees 1 day before closing. I refused and was told that I would lose the 6 % payment because I had broken the contract. I suspect a scam.

Purchased Timeshare at Krystal Beach Resort in Cancun in November and we were given great promises that have yet to be filled. Tried to cancel the next day and wouldn't allow us to cancel and refund our down payment. We need help
Mike
We purchased a 1 bedroom unit every other year in Puerto Vallarta in 2002. We have used it every otehr year and have had no problems to complain about. If we had a problem arise I talked with the members office on PV and they took care of it. We were asked to upgrade to a Villa in 2006 and turned it down. they later comtacted us with the offer of a 2 bedroom Villa everyother year for no cost. We ended up taking it and have again had no problems. We have stayed and used the lock off option so we could stay for 2 weeks and had no complaints. They have raised the maintenence fees since we first started. We also have used the K Plus numerous times and stayed in the hotel part for $79 a night for an ocean side room.
Todd
they convinced us to pay in full because that would be the best way to rent out our property because they give first priority to those who don't owe on their property. It gets better! They also told us that if we paid it in full and weren't happy at any time in the future then the developer would buy back the property at a lower price than we paid, it would most likely be half the price. We are out a lot of money!! Our biggest concern is that if we "give" back the week and jut stop paying the maintenance it will affect or show up on our credit.
Jeffrey
I purchased a unit at Krystal recently and was completely duped. I should have known when they were bragging about how much they make every year in timeshare sales...laughing all the way to the bank with my money!!!! I'm a single mom and work for a nonprofit organization. I thought I was purchasing something that we could enjoy and look forward to and this has jettisoned me into some serious financial hardship. I just can't believe it...

We have a contract with Krystal International Vacation Club which I believe was fraudulently presented as an investment opportunity. We now have $30,000 of credit card debt . we feel trapped in this contract and would like to get out.

I have contacted Ray Rubio by email and stated that I request a refund and want to cancel my transaction due to misrepresentation by Steve Levy and he responded by telling me, I misunderstood and I signed the papers. It would be much appreciated if I could get some help to resolve this matter. It is very disappointing when I think about our trip to Cancun because of the situation we are in now. I will continue to do what ever I can to prevent other people from getting into this kind of situation with Krystal.
Cynthia
My Husband and myself went through the exact same thing i just read about with Krystal early January this year! They scammed us, lied about selling our resort and stated that the selling of out resort for $15,000 would pay off both what we owed on our resort and Krystal with no out of pocket monies. What a scam they are and I don't understand why Mexico government allows them to get away with this! Is there anyone out there that wants to join forces against Krystal?
Claude
I am also a victim of this timeshare scam from Krystal Resort in Cancun, Mexico. We bought this with the expectations of renting the weeks. That was 5 months ago and we stil waiting. We are disputing with BoA but we know that they are together in this.
Nancy
We purchased a membership at NH Krystal and they told us they would sell the timeshares that we already had and send us the money.Which was more than the purchase price.Has anyone had that kind of experience?
John
I was also a victim of Krystal Timeshare SCAM!!The 90 minute presentation turned into a five hour sales pitch marathon and the tactics they use to get you into a contract and keep you in that contract are illegal. They made me sign paperwork and then when I got back home, I realized I was missing a lot of paperwork that were supposed to be in the little binder. There is no doubt that Krystal are very beautiful. I had a wonderful stay there and would have recommended the resorts to anyone. However, due to the illegal sales practices and the fraudulent information I was a victim of, I want everyone to know about this SCAM, so no one else has to suffer.
Lucy
Michael
I have a timeshare at NH Krystal that I was scammed into buying. After reading through the paper work, I can see I didn't end up with the same deal they were offering at the table. They also made several references to renting and significant revenue from owning the property.
Henry
Have a membership in Nh Krystal - Puerta Vallarata. Paying overcharged mainenance fees for past 15 years. Saleslady was very dishonest in what was said relainting to rentals. I would like to cancel it
Sandy
The purchase pitch that was presented to me was full of false information. I was informed that I could offer weeks of my membership to an outside broker to rent. The sells rep explained that the Krystal is located very close to the convention center and we rent those out at a premium dollar amount. If I offered my weeks for rental, we would receive a check for $18, 000. After discussing the rental for some time longer, we agreed to purchase, with the help of a 90 day, no interest credit card from Bank of America. About 3 months later we contacted the Rental Broker to get additional information. It was at this time that I were informed that the rental was not guaranteed in any way. I was also told that he had no record of me, despite speaking with me on the phone the day of the purchase. I have contacted the Krystal rep. and asked about the promise of guaranteed rental. He denied ever making the promise and pointed out that we had signed a contract that stated they do not guarantee rental. I looked at the contract many times and was perfectly aware of that fact, however also remember the conversation we had when signing the document. He said this had to be on the contract, because Krystal does not handle rental, therefore cannot guarantee it.

We purchased time share at the NH Krystal resort in Cancun Mexico. Sales person promis us that we will get profit from renting our power weeks to cover any maitenance fees. We never get any profit or any income from them. Now we got calls from Concord Collection Agency. We would like to cancel contract with NH Krystal Company.
Diana
We got a timeshare at NH Krystal in 2002, and would like to try to get out of the contract which is for one week every other year until 2025. They told us many things which were not true about the timeshare, such as the maintenance fee would not increase, we could resell weeks, etc and we would like to see if we can get out of the contract somehow so we don't have to keep paying maintenance fees every other year.
Mario

This is the deal, 12 years ago we received an invitation to go to a timeshare presentation. We went to the presentation and from there we got an invitation to go to Puerto Vallarta for two days "free" hotel. There, we have to go to another presentation where we were convinsed to buy a time share for 10 years for $3,500. We had the money, we bought it, but never used. Now they want to charge me for the maintenance fees. Is this for real. Can they really do that, or can we sue Krystal Resort in Puerto Vallarta and get our money back. We got nothing the this money.
Maggie
Bruce
In dispute for 3 years with NH Krystal I have 3 different contracts with them. The one they sent to me does not have my signature on it only the legal dept. person. The other contracts have my signature but a signature from the same person in the legal dept. All contracts have more/less pages than the other. I bought 4 units to sell 3 units after 1 year, then they said no I made a mistake it was 2 years then they said no not at all. I have contacted Profeco but they may not be able to help.

Brandi
I purchased a timeshare in Mexico last Thursday. I have buyers remorse and would like out. I called them within 3 days to try to get out of it but could not. Can you help me!!!

Liza Curt
I have paid for a mebership with NH Krystal Cancun and want to cancel. I have not paid the maintinance fees and now owe $1800 to concord servicing.I just don't want to keep paying anymore and not let them put a negative mark on my credit bureaus.
Hector Osuna

Scammed by Krystal in cancun. We paid in full and never used any. Now they want back maintinance fees and I just asked them to cancel. It's too stressful. I just don't want to keep paying anymore and not let them put a negative mark on my credit.

I have a one bedroom at krystal Cancun. It is paid off but I am behind on maint fees and I would like to just get out without major credit damage. Is this something you can assist with? Thanks
Cheryl
My husband and I were too old to buy a timeshare at Krystal Puerto Vallarta. Unfortunately, in early 2000, we had upgraded to a one bedroom from the studio unit. we got a collection notice. We had never had any communication about back maintenance fees owed, and we were foolish enough to think that Krystal would reclaim our paid in full timeshare week and that would be it. After receiving the collection notice I emailed Krystal and told them I would pay the maintenece fees owed if they would take our timeshare as a forfeit.but they never answer me.
Tamara
My husband and I have been victimized by NH Krystal Vacation Club. They did not stand by what we were told. They were supposed to "buy" my 2 timeshares I have in the US.They did nothing except lie to us and cheat us out of a lot of money. we are seeking help to get us out of the contract and recover our money. Thank you
Jhonathan
Have a timeshare paid in full. The maintenance fees are continuing to rise. Unable to use the weeks. There is no specified vacation time. Would like to get rid of there is a huge liability with a timeshare and no benefits.

We purchased a timeshare in Puerto Vallarta .The only reason we purchased this was that they guarantied to buy out existing timeshare with Wyndham. I have 2 signed contracts for 2 time share contracts that the salesman gave us to buy our existing time shares. He said they would contact us in a few weeks. We have not heard from them and when we tried calling them and emailing them and they have not responded. Our salesman will not email or call us back.

We have been duped by Krystal Cancun. We were given a number to call if there were questions or issues. We have attempted to call with no answer upon returning from Cancun. Now they are indicating we were not making payments when we have.
Peter
I have read the blogs and testimonials and we were all fed the same lies. We didn't buy a timeshare we bought an investment. No maintenance fees would ever be paid since we don't own a timeshare and this investment would be sold within 3-6 months. We bought with NH Krystal Vacation Club in March 2010. We were never advised there was a cancellation option. we paid upfront fees of thousands and are still making montly payments. We also just received our first maintenance fee request for almost $800. HELP!!
Barry
We bought into Krystal International Vacation in Cancun, in December 2010, we were told they would purchase our timeshare we have on the market and we would use that to payoff the one we just purchased, as of today, we still have not received paperwork or even stuff in the contract we were suppose to get.

I went to Cancun last year and im a victim of all this scam.We have a timeshare at Krystal The salesperson completely misrepresented many aspects of the deal.

My husband and I purchased a timeshare at Krystal hotel in Cancun in 2007 while on our honeymoon. Needless to say, it has been a nightmare. The note has been paid off (just finished this year), . Nothing is what they said it would be. We have never been able to rent or sell any weeks. We have never been able to even figure out what weeks would be available. I have spent additional money (outside of the purchase price & maintenance fees) to brokers who were supposedly going to "rent" our weeks out, all to no avail. I have tried booking vacations with ICE which is supposed to be our discount vactioning club that we received a lifetime membership to. only to never get a return call from them. It was a total scam, and I am now a full fledged "member" of the vacation scam!

We've been recently in Cancun, Mexico, on a vacation, and people from Krystal presented us that we can invest money as they are in need to expand and improve their property, and in return we would get convenient accomodation over in their hotel or in any of RCI locations. We haven't been exposed to timeshare before, and they insisted in their presentation that this is not a timeshare. However we paid a deposit and signed some parpers, including a promisory note for the rest of the amount of a membership, membership that would alow us to benefit further from what they mentioned. We didn't notice right away that actually we signed timeshare services . More to it, all the other conditions in the contract may enslave us to pay them without benefiting from what we thought. The timeshare word is sort of frequently present in on all the papers we have signed, but at that time they drove the papers so that we haven't noticed it, although we should have read it very carefully.

My husband & I purchased the same vacation club scam I am reading about on your website from Krystal Hotel while on our honeymoon in Feb 2005. We made an initial down payment on a credit card, and signed into a loan for the balance of purchase, which I finally paid my last payment on this year, which bought me a piece of cardboard that reads "Certificate ... Mrs. Tressa Edwards who is now a full-fledge member of this distingued club". haha, the I've paid in full to be scammed club I guess! We were promised the same "too good to be true" deal I have read about in detail on your site and the TUG site... rent our weeks back, retain more than our purchase price, etc etc. We also paid 2 separate brokers (1 in 2005 and 1 just this year!) to "rent" our weeks, as we were told we could do. We have kept current on our maintenance fees as well. We have never been able to "rent" anything ... I cannot even determine what weeks I am able to rent. I have weeks "banked" with ICE, which is another scam, we have never been able to make any reservations at the $199 per week rate they sold us on. I have sent numerous emails ... no one at Krystal can seem to help. I have tried calling, but I do not speak spanish, and I cannot seem to get a fluent english respresentative to explain how to use my weeks. (funny, they all spoke english perfectly when they were explaining how we could rent our weeks back for a significant profit and selling us this ridiculous "deal"). Not only did we make a down payment, but we have paid everything in full WITH INTEREST OVER 5 YEARS! I feel so foolish. I'm still desperate to try to "sell" my timeshare and I receive numerous calls weekly with astonishing offers to purchase my timeshare, but they all require an up front fee from me (AGAIN!) as a seller; and I simply refuse to spend any more money on this nightmare. Some of these supposed offers are for 3 times the amount we originally paid ... but it sounds too good to be true, so I am confident that they are exactly that. I'm wondering if it is possible to get back the money we have lost over the last 5 years, or if cancelling my contract will only help me with upcoming maintenance fees. I do not intend on paying them any more fees regardless. If there is anything at all that can be done, please contact me immediately! I do not understand how they can continue such practices. Do I even own a legitimate timeshare? I will share all of my documentation with you if you think you can help. Thank you.

I had 2 contracts that I purchased previously. I was on vacation in Puerta Vallarta and was sold another vacation ownership program believing that we were trading in 2 time share contrats. The buyer was suppose to contact us to begin the process of purchasing the current contracts. We bought the new timeshare based on the knowledge that we will receive money back when the process is completed. I now have a credit card bill that was set up with BOA and when I try to contact our salesman I don't get a response.
