Hola en Enero del  año pasado fuimos de vacaciones en playa del carmen, al sandos caracol y nos engancharon con las mentiras, no nos dieron tiempo para pensar , fue como una presion. Compramos una membresia de U$D 7,000, pagamos el 30% en el momento y lo demas en cuotas, que seguimos pagando llevando 9 cuotas y ningun beneficio, no nos dan respuestas y estamos desesperados, pedimos la renuncia por mail pero no tenemos respuesta.

Trying to cancel, within our 5 business days, at Royal Elite. They are telling us that Saturday is a business day in Mexico, therefore we noticed them on the sixth or seventh day. They are refusing to cancel the contracts and refusing to refund our $5,785.88 down payment which was charged on our Visa card. We realize that it was not what we had expected it to be and are finally fed up enough to want to get out of the drain of an annual maintenance of $200 US that is taken off our Mastercard acct each May. Hello, We have much the same story as all the others. Pressured or as i call it" held hostage to purchase the timeshare".I say that because we were picked up from the shopping area and taken to Caracol, with no way to return back to town and after a series of salesperson, each with their own twist, we purchased a 2 bedroom time share. Many promises were made, but none were ever delivered. A breach of contract every time we visited. Each time we visit the timeshare there are new costumer service representatives,which are always overwhelmed by complaining guest. At one point during our nightmare vacation to Sandos, Royal Elite knew they were in breach of the contract and offered to give us a one bedroom time share in exchange for what we had already paid and call it even. If they were able to deliver on their promises of a relaxing vacation, the deal would have been great. However, that is not the case, just on our last trip this year we were not given anything promised. to this date some 6 trips later we have never seen, much less been given the one bedroom we bought. Never seen all the promised amenities or benefited from RCI and pretty much spend our entire vacation arguing with them to make it right.

I see lots of reports on your site regarding royal-elite. We signed for Discovery package on belief we could use weeks with RCI and given vouchers for 'any' Sandos resort. Have been trying since January to get availability and prices for Oct at Sandos Lanzarote, but still no info. Tried reclaiming via credit card but received threats of debt collectors and more promises, but still no info. Now told RCI not applicable to our package, and vouchers only valid at one location not all.  Any advice would be apprecisted. I just want what they promised!

We attended a presentation at Royal Elite sales person talked a good story and convinced us his company, could sell our UVC timeshare and our RH timeshare. Once those were sold, we agreed to purchase a membership with his company for $40k USD. Of course, we had to pay a "transfer fee". The transfer fee was also supposed to be reimbursed to us on the sale of the two timeshares. All we had to do was pay the transfer fee and provide proof of ownership of the two timeshares. We provided proof of ownership, and of course the transfer fee was paid before we left the presentation. The last contact we have had with them was an email 5 months ago advising he had received all the necessary paperwork and the transfer as in process.

Royal Elite member since 2004, paid $7,000 for time share originally, Maint.fees started at $265., now $485. and of course there are always special assesments, we have rarely used it since we can not afford all the other money needed for the airfare, food or if all inclusive, which many resorts are going that way, it just is too much. The club misrepresented the cost it would be to own this, and even told us hold easy it would be to sell. Like most timeshare owners I just want out, we can't even get people to pay us out maint. fee price so they could use our timeshare, so we can get out of paying what we no longer can afford since my husband is retired.

On Jan 17 we made a timeshare purchase in Mexico under pressure. We gave a $5000 deposit via credit card, but now owe $25000 to pay the balance. I purchased a timeshare at royal elite but I don´t want it  anymore, I bought  it 5 years ago and I used it only 2 times, I don’t have any problem with the resort but  I bought  a  new membership in  Mayan palace and I  want to get free of my royal elite membership. I heard about resale companies but I know  they are not a good choice because they never get to sell your timeshare. I want to know if you can help me?

I was scammed by Royal Elite, I purchased a membership for 5 weeks at year,  the salesman gave me a document stating that, he even signed , but  now I can´t find it, my wife says that the salesman took the paper. I don´t have any proof to demonstrate what the salesman offered me; is there a possibility to cancel my membership?

Royal Elite is practicing fraud over and over again. My wife, and I were scammed over $55000 April  2009. They took our money we work so hard for many years. I don't know why no law going after this resort.

Estoy tratando de comunicarme con quien me vendio dicha membresia y no lo he logrado, prometieron cosas que no existen, no tienen respuesta a mis consultas y estan constantemente diciendome una cosa por otra. Las conversaciones han sido por mail ya que el telefono que tienen para argentina no lo atienden. quiero saber que es lo que puedo hacer para cancelar el pago de la membresia ya que lo hicimos con tarjeta y ademas ver si podemos recuperar la plata que ya hemos pagado porque lo que terminamos comprando no es lo que no "vendieron". la persona que nos vendio fue Jorge Gutierrez, gerente de ventas junto con Benjamin y un tal luis ornelas.

Resulta que compré una membresia con Royal Elite Exhange y me dijeron que ellos me iban a vender la membresía que yo actualmente tengo con Royal Holiday Club (espantosa tambien por cierto) y no la han vendido.

Se acercan los pagos y no tengo manera de liquidar el pagaré que firmé con ellos y no se si puedan demandarme exigiendo el pago. Ellos no cumplieron su parte del contrato puesto que si RE hubiese vendido mi membresia de Royal, yo ya gustosa hubiese liquidado mi parte con Royal Elite.

I just purchased the Sando Royal Elite membership but given what I read to day I just sent a note to sandos royal elite to cancel my membership. Contractually I saw I had a 5 day period to cancel so i am on day 2 of that timeline. Does anyone know any official way to cancel please help!

My wife and I were also scammed by "Royal Elite" last August 2009.  They promise you everything and deliver NOTHING! We were sucked in by their promise to get us a balcony for an inside cabin rate. We do alot of cruising and thought-Wow this is really a great deal. However, it turned out to be more of a great rip off since everything they told us was a lie. Fortunately we only joined the club and NOT buy a timeshare. That was enough though. $2,000 down t he drain. They gave us 4 of those worthless vouchers for Sandos resorts which are also worthless. That HSI exchange is suppose to sell the vouchers for you at at least $500 is also abunch of bull. Please don't fall for anything that has Royal Elite's name on it. I'm in the process of calling the BBB and seeing what they can do. Possibly the attorney General also!!!!!!!!

We purchased a Royal Elite Timeshare in August of 2008. We were promised all kinds of opportunity, while they kept serving us cold Coronas. Between HSI, RCI, and Royal Elite it seems that this is all a scam. We initially made three payments of $800, and now after Royal Elite has made a mistake with their collections back in the end of 2008, Monterey Financial has been threatening to send me to court to recover the unpaid portion ever since. Royal Elite is almost impossible to contact. This has become a huge pain, and a troubling financial burden.

After much research and investigating into the Royal Elite Membership we purchased back in December we have decided we are just not happy with the Membership. We were promised so much and feel so lied to. One of the biggest selling points to us was the ability to take our 3 Studios per year and resell them through Vacation Brokers for a minimum of $500 per studio. Guess what after speaking to about 50 Vacation Brokers nation-wide we come to find out no one will buy these, mainly due to the fact that you can purchase these packages online for half the cost of purchasing these studios and then paying the all-inclusive upgrades. Then we were also told we can donate them, guess what another lie! We can’t donate something that will cost the winners the additional fees. I get that when you win an auction you do not expect to spend and extra thousand or so for the vacation package in addition to the flight would be cheaper to book online. There are hundreds of complains also posted on numerous websites about these same promises. In addition I changed my Credit Card bill and contacted Customer Service several times and it took weeks to get a response. I have to be honest don’t have time to research, and wait for people to respond. What’s happens when I want to book something? I have yet to use services so it should not be a problem, I just want my money back and to be done with this. In addition I was promised 1 All-Inclusive a year and my contract only states 1 All-Inclusive period. Not acceptable, this needs to also be revised. I really can’t believe that your team wasted my entire vacation day and lied to me.

Spring of 2009 we made the terrible mistake of buying a time share. they made it sound as if we were buying the best investment--pass it on to our children etc. What a joke----also that weeks would be sold and we would get $5000.00 each year around Oct?????? It seems too many partys involved in this scheme.Checked out a vacation for two weeks and it would cost us over $10,000.00. we usually go for under $3000.00 for two people 2 weeks.What did we pay for??? except extra money in their pockets and also at the presentation the seller said- look around do you see anyone unhappy? No but i think everyone is so overwhelmed by their tactics and also embarrassed by having been sucked in that they do not say anything . Like us - we could not tell our friends what we had done.We need help especially my wife who still has problems sleeping at times like when we get another bill??? We have "invested" about $ 18,000.00 US

Bought timeshare with Royal Elite/Sandos last February.  There are increasing problems as time goes on.  First, I have never received a membership with the affliate RCI, now in discussion since June 09.  They now say RCI has put a hold? on Sandos and RCI is changing things?  The other affliate HSI, now will not exchange my 3 elite weeks, won't do a cash exchange or bank my unused weeks. 

Royal elite has now stated there are too many problems with HSI and recommend Royaleliteexchanges.com to do exchanges etc. 

Somethings wrong here. Help!

My Wife and I who were drinking were asked to sit in a timeshare presentation at the Sandos resort in Playa Del Carmen mexico. While there they kept suppling us with more alchol. There were lots of people and lots of things promised but nothing has come true of anything that was expressed to us. what is the difference with contracts signed in Mexico and American law?

I purchased a travel program through Royal Elite at Sandos Resort in Mexico last March and I requested to cancel within the 5 day grace period but they still have not refunded my down payment of over $9000 US dollars.  I have been in touch with people there and they say they are working the process but it takes time.  It has now been 5 months and I am losing faith they will ever pay me back.

We signed a contract for a timeshare offer at Royal Elite/Sandos on May 23, 2009, rescinded on May 27.  Still no refund, despite email promises.
