My original timeshare; owner for 5 years. Their main pitches were RCI, and the supply-and- demand. I've found that both go hand-in-hand; RCI should have a huge inventory and Cabo's high demand and low supply "top of the list with Hawaii" should allow me practically any place any time, instead all I could find are middle of nowhere places and dates in the middle of hurricane season. I was told and given several documents stating I have a RED week (high season), but keep being told by different resorts that I have a White week (low demand). Everything they tell you appears to be a lie and if not a lie they find someway to twist the words on the contract. Additionally, the privalages we were told we would have of future development were premium services upon our return. As consumers we have no leverage, but these guys could come after you for every last penny. They establish locations in the U.S. for their financial dealings (probably so they could legally come after us in the U.S.), and if we object or want to legally come after them, they reference Mexican legal systems, like we would really do well in another country that we have no rights. People stay away, use other methods for your travel arrangements.

we bought a timeshare at Playa Grande a few years ago. Made a substantial down payment but sporadic payments on principal and maintenance since. Our credit card was used. RCI states we are no longer owners since Nov 2010. we never used unit. First year use was suppose to be 2009. What should we do?

I signed a paid a down payment for a timeshare at Playa Grande and was promised many things and told I could not back out of the contract. I have read otherwise on the contract and wish to pursue that route. I need to be quick. Can you help?

My husband and I are victims of Playa Grande Timeshare Scams! I have tried to work with the Resort and I never get the same person or answers to my questions. They change things constantly. And not counting the thousands of dollars involved. We are frustrated and feel very violated! It’s been almost 4 years since all occurred and I can tell you that I think about it constantly and I literally have nightmares. I wish there is something that could be done!

I too was ripped of by the Playa Grande. I bought a unit many years ago which has been fine. I then purcnased what I thought was going to be a whole new development of houses and condos near sunset beach. The bottom line is that it was never developed and I am out $15,000 thanks to John Padget-my charming sales man who drank the whole time with my friend.
