I've been totally scammed by Playa Grande, sales Rep Javier Garza! Almost everything he said was lies, lies, lies! I tried booking my first vacation MD they wanted more money, I paid more now I can't even book a vacation unless I use RCI last call vacations where you don't get to choose the place, even the state! I'm put thousands of dollars and really cannot believe no one has been able to do anything about all these scams!I don't know what to do, tied selling it but now they say it has to.be paid in full to sell, another LIE he told me. If anyone has any advice please email me @ [E-mail] THANKS!
This company also owns the Grand Solmar at Land's End. They also are using bad business practices and lies. I would suggest that you be very cautious dealing with this company.
There are at least 3 places that it says that you can't cancel. The Visa slip also says non-refundable. The worst part is that they hide the 5 day cancellation clause on the back page of the contract and then don't show that page to you.
My husband and I are victims of Playa Grande Timeshare Scams! I have tried to work with the Resort and I never get the same person or answers to my questions. They change things constantly. And not counting the thousands of dollars involved. We are frustrated and feel very violated! It’s been almost 4 years since all occurred and I can tell you that I think about it constantly and I literally have nightmares. I wish there is something that could be done!
I too was ripped of by the Playa Grande. I bought a unit many years ago which has been fine. I then purcnased what I thought was going to be a whole new development of houses and condos near sunset beach. The bottom line is that it was never developed and I am out $15,000 thanks to John Padget-my charming sales man who drank the whole time with my friend.
I signed a paid a down payment for a timeshare at Playa Grande and was promised many things and told I could not back out of the contract. I have read otherwise on the contract and wish to pursue that route. I need to be quick. Can you help?
Own at Playa Grande-they sold me potentail ownership in a project they never built yet. I think it is a scam. what should I do?
we bought a timeshare at Playa Grande a few years ago. Made a substantial down payment but sporadic payments on principal and maintenance since. Our credit card was used. RCI states we are no longer owners since Nov 2010. we never used unit. First year use was suppose to be 2009. What should we do?
